HUMAN RELATIONS AND THE EVELUTIONARY PLAN

In A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, page 579, Master DK said there are 60,000,000,000 human Monads [spirits] on the planet. That is 60 billion. That is roughly ten times the amount of people on the planet today if we take it as 6 billion. [6,8] If the average life is 60 years, and if that is how long it takes to learn one set of lessons, then it will take 600 years for all those Monads to learn one set of lessons. [6b takes 60 years, so, 60b takes 600 years.] Geoffrey Hodson said that the average soul takes 700 years to come back to earth.  Some people need more than one life to learn the same lesson. Some learn other lessons because we are exposed to different lessons in deferent races, nations, countries, sexes and so on.

So, we must be prepared to teach the same lessens to generations of people in the world without seeing any progress. The progress is in the Spiritual word.

So, as you can see, even if the above is not correct, there is not a lot of learning going on in the world over a period of one thousand years.  If all these Monads have to go through the process then you can imagine how long it will take to send all these monads through one initiation. [class or grade] We are not all on the same level and there are a lot of classes on different levels in this school going on at the same time, but it is not a fast one. Some manage to leave the planet through the initiation process. [They have gone through all the grades.]

Even if it is possible for one entity to outrun the rest of us, he will have to wait for the rest somewhere in the future for planetary or cosmic conditions to change so that the group can go on, or for him to take the correct initiation. Sometimes we must wait for the Spirit of the Word to go through an initiation so that we all can go on.

HPB said in the Secret Doctrine that a lot of misery in the word is because of the imperfection of the Gods. So, sometimes we below, have to wait for those above, to clear the way a little more so we can see it better, and can thus walk the way better and more assured. Some of us are literally walking in the dark. The whole of humanity has been in the dark for centuries. Because the process takes so long and we did not have the brain power, it did not matter in the beginning. Later when we did develop the brain power, we were again left in darkness by scrupulous leaders and the dark forces.

This brings me, to another problem that we as human beings can do nothing about, the dark forces. DK said that to fight them is the work of the Great White Lodge. But they are hampering the process of evolution and make the whole process take much longer. We cannot fight them, but we can overcome their lessons of all the bad and evil things in the world, and learn faster to discriminate between good and bad, or between right or wrong. It is after all part of the Plan and we are just a small part in a huge process of redemption, and to bring light where there used to be darkness.

What can we do? We can spread the light into this darkness for those prodigal sons out there who are exhausted and ready to turn back home.

We can give people homes, jobs and other material things but we know that it does not do a lot for their spiritual development. Life experience and the development of consciousness is what we all need. The good observer knows there is no greater teacher than life itself. So, let this teacher do its work.
